The Story

Tatanka, the Lakota word for bison, stands for what this shop is about: something rugged, rooted, and built to last. What started as Nick Shaffer's chair has grown into a barbershop with a name of its own.

We're proud to call the historic Bon Ton Mill building in Bozeman home. It's a fitting place for old-school barbering, brick, timber, and the kind of craft that doesn't cut corners.

Precision haircuts, traditional hot-towel straight razor shaves, and beard work that actually holds its shape. Available for weddings, private events, and set work, too.
